Eagle Project Protocol

  1. Achieve Life Scout rank.
  2. Develop a project. Use the Eagle Project Worksheet at http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/BoyScouts/AdvancementandAwards/EagleWorkbookProcedures.aspx. Note that you must download the worksheet in order to use its convenient fill-in capability. This document describes criteria for an eagle project. Scoutmaster Duff is available to suggest a project if needed.
  3. Discuss project with Life-to-Eagle coach Mr. Shea.
  4. Speak to troop committee chair Mr. Hebb to present project to troop committee which meets monthly.
  5. Present your project to the troop committee. The presentation should include photos and descriptive handout in the format of the Eagle Project Workbook. Please comment on fundraising efforts that will be used. It is the opinion of the committee that the scout would benefit from efforts to solicit donations from local vendors.
  6. If approved, call the Narragansett Council representative to get the Council's approval. The number can be provided by Mr. Shea.
  7. Set a date with Scoutmaster Duff to do the project and ask the Webmaster to place it on the troop calendar.
